Dreaming in Color

"Dreaming in Color" is in response to the uptick in violence toward the Asian and Asian-American communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

4. For a long time, it was always sorrow / with color. I was really wanting / the imagination to look / so many different ways.
5. I’ll be talking about wishes. The foods / my grandmother used to make. / I cut my hair. I have done so / for months, and more. I remember / yellow and wake up, / rush over to receive the red / ritual of life. Just for us.
6. The moon is always / new. Impossible / light. We think / alone, watching / for a better year.
